I’ve been writing on Medium for more than three months now and it has not been easy, I won’t lie. For what started as something to help me clear out my thoughts and get better at journalling shared experiences with my peers, it has now become somewhat a task.

Every Thursday now feels like a deadline to beat and sometimes, I have nothing to write and I can’t call it writer’s block because I actually write for a living and I do so almost everyday but with topics provided by my team.

I know you’re probably here looking for something relatable like my last couple of stories and I am sorry to disappoint you. Sometimes I get ideas weeks before I publish and sometimes it’s the last day before I get that spark. I am human too and sometimes, I fall short of expectations and today is one of those days.

The motivation to write comes from a lot of places and I feel like today, it would be best to send love to my friends who keep urging me to do more (alapomeji) and to put myself out there; Mayowa, Damola, Farouk, Kemi, Ayo and 26 others. I really appreciate your unwavering support and I hope we keep winning against the powers and principalities of the Nigerian state.

To my readers and E-friends, I hope we all win at the end.

Love,

Yemi❤️

p.s. I have some news for you all next week. Stay tuned.
